When scrolling on LinkedIn, I stumbled upon the skilled based voluntary work platform De Nieuwe Gevers. I immediately signed up. After a few days I saw the request for an animated video for The Plastic Soup Foundation. I responded and a match was made!

This video should give people insight in how they contribute in the plastic waste were creating by buying cheap clothes. Because most clothes are made of plastic materials. And these materials contain microplastic fibers, which they release into the air when we wear them, and into our waterways when we wash them. This type of micro-plastics is so small and light that we inhale them. Plastic is not only causing harm in our nature and wildlife, but the fibers have also been found in our blood and lungs.

Not only is it an amazing opportunity to use your skills for a good cause, it also gave me a lot of inspiration and space to experiment. I had a blast!
